Prius Roadlife Build

Mason Strehl April 23, 2021

You’ve seen my truck platform buildout, but that is one of many vehicle builds I’ve done. I am on build #3 for my truck, I’ve done a buildout or two fro friends, and now I’ve built this Prius nook for Amanda. This build is simple but versatile, and allows for a ton more storage in the Prius as well as a little workspace. Amanda has now lived out of this space for a bit more than two months and loves it.

Storage up above, storage below.

Packing cubes keep everything organized.

I built this box to serve a few functions - to allow for a large workspace and bedside table up above, but also have wardrobe storage below. The large front access storage cubby works perfectly for clothing, toiletries, and any other goody that needs to be tucked away.

Chest storage is one of the best ways to store - you can throw a bunch of random things in there and have an aerial view of what’s in there. I love this side of the storage nook as it allows easy access and easy organization, as well as a large top opening for fitting bigger, bulkier items (and wine).

A little multi-use folding table pops up right on the back end of the nook, the perfect size for a laptop or a camp stove. This little table can hold up to 140 lbs, so no need to worry about overwhelming the hinges. It makes use of limited space in the Prius and allows for space to store a cooler behind when everything is all packed up between camp spots.

The table, tucked away.

I hope you liked seeing this thing, I’m excited to build more! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
